Eastern Ontario Fire Academy prides itself on providing quality training to municipal fire departments, commercial industry, and community college fire fighting training programs.

The EOFA is based in Norwood, a small village outside of the City of Peterborough Ontario. We have delivered emergency services training to personnel and agencies from: Peterborough, Northumberland, Hastings, Prince Edward Counties and the cities of Kawartha Lakes.

Our 20 acre site provides live training situations, including Search & Rescue Maze, Confined Space, 3 Storey Burn Tower, Flashover Unit, Survivor Unit, Shower Facility, Education Hall, 4 Classrooms and a Cafeteria.

May, 2012 The Eastern Ontario Fire Academy Firefighter Survival Course on June 16, 17 & 23, 2012 is now full. We are looking for additional dates for this course. If you are interested in attending this course, please send an email to eofa@oafc.on.ca.

Registration is open for the CO 301/302, NFPA Confined Space and NFPA Rope Rescue Courses. The forms are available on the schedule page.
March, 2012 The EM 200 - Basic Emergency Management Course on March 26 & 27, 2012 has been cancelled.

A four-day CO 301/302 course on May 26, 27, June 2,3, 2012.
A three-day Firefighter Survival course on June 16, 17 & 23, 2012
A six-day NFPA High Angle Rope Rescue course from July 16 to 21, 2012
A four-day NFPA Confined Space Course from July23 to 26, 2012

February 23, 2012 The EOFA is pleased to facilitate a course by the Public Services Health & Safety Association that is Fire Sector Specific and will provide knowledge and understanding of hazards faced by the Ontario Fire Service workers and is the level 2 training required to be certified after basic certification training. It is also a good session for those interested in learning more about special safety issues and concerns that fire/rescue personnel face every day.

The course will take place on April 14 & 15, 2012 at a cost of $475.00. The cost for this course also includes meals, breaks, and facility use fees, as well as all materials.
